My 2.7CRD Grand Cherokee sometimes hangs the revs at around 1200rpm for a few second before slowly settling down to the usual 750 ish idle. Usually only does it when hot and might go several days without doing it. The BCM translates the signal to a digital format to talk to the radio over a communications bus. Without a "translator" between the BCM and the radio, they wont understand each other. After my CRD 2.7 WJ/WG is up to temp the revs idle at about 1200rpm if in neutral or park. Put it into drive and it drives fineif you slow down and stop at the lights and go into neutral the idle will be at the proper 750 revs . unless unless you tap the throttle when it wil rev as normal but not go back down past 1200 rpm. tony645 Discussion starter · Dec 30, 2011.
